We are happy to announce we just added the ability to post text status updates to the video micro blogging service Hictu!

Hictu! is a micro video blogging service which lets users share short videos recorded through their webcam and start a discussion around them. Hictu also lets users share Youtube and Google videos and provides a Wordpress plugin to turn your blog’s comments into video comments.

At this stage we lets you update your status on Hictu by posting text messages, but realtime video blog posts will be available very soon.

You can add Hictu on the settings page. If you don’t have a Hictu account, you should probably get one here.

I am so excited about your support, and as I said last week, here comes the improved HelloTxt. Let me get right to the point by listing all the new features:

NEW FEATURES

• Multiple Social Service management. Allows you to have one personal and one professional Twitter account.
• New media management. This feature makes it easier to enrich your status with pics or video.
• Added advanced status. You can add a title to your status for the social services that allow it, like Tumblr.
• Post your pics directly on Tumblr. Soon available also for Facebook and other socials that have pic management.
• Improved Account Page here, you can manage your LifeStream.
• Added comment on your Pics or Video and also Status update.
• Fully compatible with IE6 and IE7, Opera 9.x and of course FireFox, Safari and Chrome.
• There are other new features that you can discover directly on HelloTxt.

I’m testing the gTalk Bot for HelloTxt and other tools to allow you to have even more control over your status.

I’m pleasantly surprised that many of you like the Friend’s Status Features. HelloTxt has needed a massage to be able to give those features. At the moment I’m working to power it. It will not be available for a few days.

I’m extremely happy and proud to say that there are now more than 10,000 HelloTxter, with more than 350,000 friends, across 23 different social networks.

I know that some of you have had some issues updating your status via SMS. We are working to activate a Short Code. HelloTxt on the go is our target.

In the mean time, you can update your status via your personal HelloTxt Email Address.HelloTxt is fully compatible with the new Google Chrome Browser. On Internet Explorer and Opera some of you have wrote to me pointing out that some pages are not well displayed. Well, I have fixed it and next week the new version will be on line.
We are working to improve the service.
