We are pleased to announce a few new additions to Hellotxt:

A big welcome to Seesmic, Friendster and Laconi.ca!

You can now engage in video blogging with Seesmic and post shoutouts on Friendster and status update on generic Laconi.ca servers all with Hellotxt.

We have also released our API and an ecosystem for all our developers.

The Ubiquity Application is one of the new applications that the Hellotxt API is built upon.
Join the fun and build your own application today.
Alternatively, you can connect with other developers to propose a new application.

Some days ago we have released the Hellotxt API. One of the firs applications on board is Ubiquity for Hellotxt.

This application allow you to update your status via Ubiquity. You can find more information about Ubiquity here.

Installation

To use it you need to have Ubiquity installed, get it here. Go to this page to add Hellotxt Commands, and Ubiquity should recognize that there are some commands for it on there. You will see a bar across the top that will allow you to ‘subscribe’ to the commands by clicking the ‘Subscribe…’ button that appears. Ubiquity will then present you with a confirmation page with a warning that this is an untrusted source. I give you my word that these commands do nothing to violate your privacy, and only work to allow you to post to Hellotxt via Ubiquity.

You will have to set-up your Hellotxt API user key in order to be able to use this application with your account.

In the spirit of giving this time of year, we’re offering your thumbs a break.
Hellotxt is happy to announce a new integration with Dial2Do that enables you to update your status just by calling a number and saying your status.

We have spent the last few days working hard to improve our servers. (We are growing faster than expected!)

We continue to improve Hellotxt, which now features:
- Photos from your Flickr account directly on Hellotxt! You can search Flickr for photos to post as well!
- Improved Youtube video search and other video site url parsing;
- Two new social services supported. Welcome to Fazkut and Koornk.

What’s New
Improved Lifestream Feed:
- Visit your lifestream to see stats about your status updates (link suggested, pics viewed);
- Hide some status updates sent via Hellotxt, go to your lifestream and you see hide option.

Friends Status
I’m reopening to all the Friends Status Feature. But I need some more tests.
If you want to try for first send to me a feedback or a status update with: friends status enable.
I’ll add you as soon as possible.

You can update your status also from Nintendo Wii. Enrico has sent to me a pics about.

On YouAre, you can share what you are doing and your interests using text,
video, and images in a fast and concise way using 140 characters.

You can promote your professional skills and services, and get to know more
people in your online network, local area, or target audience.

You can control which updates you receive to include just real life friends,
online friends, acquaintances, co-workers, colleagues, and family.

You can also import content from your YouTube, Flickr, and Del.icio.us
accounts.

We are happy to announce we just added the ability to post text status updates to the video micro blogging service Hictu!

Hictu! is a micro video blogging service which lets users share short videos recorded through their webcam and start a discussion around them. Hictu also lets users share Youtube and Google videos and provides a WordPress plugin to turn your blog’s comments into video comments.

At this stage we lets you update your status on Hictu by posting text messages, but realtime video blog posts will be available very soon.

You can add Hictu on the settings page. If you don’t have a Hictu account, you should probably get one here.

I am so excited about your support, and as I said last week, here comes the improved Hellotxt. Let me get right to the point by listing all the new features:

NEW FEATURES

• Multiple Social Service management. Allows you to have one personal and one professional Twitter account.
• New media management. This feature makes it easier to enrich your status with pics or video.
• Added advanced status. You can add a title to your status for the social services that allow it, like Tumblr.
• Post your pics directly on Tumblr. Soon available also for Facebook and other socials that have pic management.
• Improved Account Page here, you can manage your LifeStream.
• Added comment on your Pics or Video and also Status update.
• Fully compatible with IE6 and IE7, Opera 9.x and of course FireFox, Safari and Chrome.
• There are other new features that you can discover directly on HelloTxt.

I’m testing the gTalk Bot for Hellotxt and other tools to allow you to have even more control over your status.

I’m pleasantly surprised that many of you like the Friend’s Status Features. Hellotxt has needed a massage to be able to give those features. At the moment I’m working to power it. It will not be available for a few days.
