We have added a new feature on HelloTxt:
SMS Status Update.

On Settings -> Devices HelloTxt Coverage you can setup your SMS gateway.

At this moment we have 2 gateways.
One is +33683617096 on which you can send SMS from a great number of countries and carriers. (country and carriers supported).
One is +393202043040 only for Italian number.

We are working to add new SMS gateway to support more countries and carriers. Please send me to feedback at hellotxt dot com your country or carrier if not supported.

Please remember to prepend your status update with code 898 (t - x - t).
Eg. “I’m jogging” -> send an SMS -> “898 I’m jogging”

As for Email Gateway, SMS Status Update will be delivered to that services that are in Dashboard and Default Checked. You can set that on Settings Page.

I’m writing a little how to about Email Status Update.

However, first I would like to tell you that it’s now possible to attach a picture to your email and it will be converted to enrich your status update.
For example you can snap a photo with your mobile and post it by email.

If you have an auto signature, HelloTxt split the body of the message at the first double score ( - - ).
For the moment the subject of the email isn’t considered but stay tuned because I have a surprise for you.

On http://hellotxt.com/photos is possible to see the Photos Public Timeline.

I also made some little usabilty changes on Image and Video posting on Dashboard.

Last but not least, there are also available Personal page (hellotxt.com/user/NICKNAME) and avatar (here to change the default avatar).

New feature: It is now possible to post your images and your favourite videos directly from HelloTxt.

In recent weeks we have worked hard to improve the service. The servers have been upgraded to a faster overall service. We are entering new features and some are in an advanced stage of testing.

Now is it possible to make a status update by sending an e-mail to a private address. To enable this feature you can to go to page Settings > Device and make your own personalized address. The message will be sent to the services that are selected by default on home page.

The second feature is linked issued to those messages which are longer than 140 characters. In this case the message will be appended a link to which you can read the full version.
