We’ve been having such a great time with the new Facebook Page and ways to interact with our fans, we thought we’d take it a step further and introduce a fun mini-game to play with all of you. Here’s how it works.
Do You Know Viral?
Step 1: Choose a Video
Our community manager Ryan will pick two separate videos each week from the 8 gazillion that get uploaded every day to YouTube, and post them to our Fan Page wall here: http://www.facebook.com/hellotxt
Each will be fun or interesting in that unique way that only the web can deliver…but your job is to decide which one will have more views over the next week (7 days).
Step 2: Post a Comment
Post a comment underneath the video you think will have more YouTube views with your Twitter name (for example, Ryan’s would be @rorohello).
You can tell us why you think it has a better shot than the other vid, or just type your Twitter name — either way, we’ll announce all the names of folks that picked the winner on the official Hellotxt Twitter, so you can all have a big cyber high-five!!

Hellotxt has always had a truly multi-national user base, thanks to the simple and intuitive design of our web dashboard, and our humble beginnings as tiny start up in Italy.
We are happy to address the needs of our increasingly diverse mobile user base with this release, and we hope to see more posts from all you French/Italian/Spanish/Dutch and Portuguese speakers!!!

A quick post to let you all know the iPhone/iPad application has been updated! In the new version 2.2 we’ve packed in not only a smarter feed experience (Comment and Like from your Hellotxt feed!) but some other great fun enhancements for posting. Here is the lowdown on what’s new:
- Smart Feed
You can now see and add comments to Facebook posts inside the stream
- Doodle Your Friends!
Add freehand doodles or fun stamps/clip art to your friends’ Facebook profile pic, then post to their wall and challenge them to do better!
- Shake Fun Suggestion
Don’t have anything to say? Shake your iPhone, or tap the on iPad for a witty remark to post. We are crowdsourcing suggestions from all of you!

It was a whirlwind Summer for us here at Hellotxt! With our official Android application already hitting the Android Marketplace hard, and major improvements to the website on the way — like rich media RIGHT UP IN YOUR FEED! — we are going to be continuing to blow you away…so stay tuned!

One of the things we get asked a lot is whether Hellotxt can be used to update multiple Facebook Pages at once. Facebook Pages are used by brands, companies, small business, celebrities and more…and they are a way to engage and communicate with your fan base or audience.
THE ANSWER IS YES!!!
Hellotxt is a great way to manage multiple Pages from a single posting and organization tool, however, it does come with a bit of instructions…like a Christmas toy you really wanted to play with right away that needed a bit of setup, but don’t worry, this time you won’t need your dad.
The main thing we need to stress is that this works best when one person admins several Pages and is the only administrator. By adding multiple admins, or giving accesss to your Hellotxt account to others…things can get complicated quickly. But fear not! We are here to explain with these helpful resources:
While all of you have been enjoying summertime, the Hellotxt development team has been locked into an 8×12 room with basic food and water, and forced to listen to Lady GaGa until they deliver a new Android application to the marketplace. The good news is that we’re almost out the other side, and not too far away from a first release. Although Hellotxt has been available for Android users for some time already, this is a complete overhaul of the application, so should be a significant upgrade for everyone…
We really appreciated all the support and feedback we received around the iPhone version so we’d like to also ask for some early feedback from our Android fanboys out there.

Telling your friends where you are is easy and fun with Hellotxt for iPhone/iPad. Just turn on geo-location in your settings, and you’ll get a constantly updated list of Points of Interest (POIs) to choose from that are close by.
If you are on Hellotxt web today, you may notice an added feature at the bottom of incoming notifications from your friends in your Feed. In an effort to make sharing across the social web even easier, we’ve rolled out the Retxt option!
So What’s It For
Think of Retext as a Retweet, but not just tied to Twitter! With Retxt, you can share your friends’ post on many more of the social networks and services that Hellotxt supports. Of course there is still the options to Retweet or Reply on Twitter itself, but we all have lives beyond Twitter, now don’t we??
